Tree Climbing & Aerial Arboriculture
Gaining height solely by the use of ladders is less kind to the tree and more dangerous than is ascending the tree by a trained and experienced tree climber who is able to exercise greater safety and flexibility by use of ropes and harness; this method permits our specialists to reach crowns and normally inaccessible branches without damage to the tree or surrounding property.
Felling
We are fully trained in the removal of trees whether to clear the area or to encourage new growth. Some larger projects or difficult situations may require aerial dismantling of trees which we are happy to undertake.
Pollarding, Coppicing, Crown Reduction & Lifting
Thinning or reduction of trees is often desired for aesthetic reasons but can also be necessary to keep the tree healthy or to maintain safety in the surrounding area. We can prune trees to your wishes including pollarding and coppicing and are we happy to provide advice if you are unsure.
Stump Removal
Tree stumps can be very difficult to remove but we have the necessary contacts to arrange for the removal of pre-existing stumps or those left behind after we have performed other work. Our stump removal colleagues with whom we work very closely have specialist equipment that can remove all traces of a stump quickly and without ecological damage.
General Clearance & Garden Work
Clearance work may involve any combination of our other services and would be carried out to your specifications. We are also pleased to provide a general garden tidying service including including hedge cutting, shrub pruning, and lawn cutting.
Logs
We can either log your own wood on site or provide you with ready cut and split logs which have been barn-dried.
Fencing
We have experience in providing generic fence panels or constructing bespoke closeboard fencing and animal stock fencing. We are often asked to erect a fence to seal gaps left after the removal of a tree or row of trees.
Chippings
We are sometimes requested to leave chippings from the work we have undertaken or are asked if we have chippings for delivery, either of which we may be able to arrange.
Mushrooms, planks and benches
With some of the wood which we accumulate we make mushrooms and with the help of our milling machine we are able to make planks which we turn into benches and tables for sale.
